How are Based on Love clothes produced?
Our products are all made in Europe, produced under fair conditions and our prints are all handmade silkscreen prints. 
We are also using sustainable packaging material.

Are your products unisex?
Yes, all of our products can be worn by everybody.

What size should I get?
All of our products already deliver a slightly oversized fit. If you like this kind of style, stay true to size. If you want your product to fit tighter, size down - if you want it to fit looser, size up. Just have a look at our size chart or if you wish advice from our experts regarding your size, please e-mail our customer service

What if my size isn’t available anymore?
All of our products are strictly limited and won’t be restocked. So better be quick!

How do I wash and care for my products?
All of our products should be washed (hand wash or machine wash) inside out on a cool wash (30 degrees Celsius), do not use any fabric softener and allow to dry naturally. Please do not tumble dry or bleach our products. Do not iron the printed parts of our products as it will destroy the print.

Shipping & Taxes

How long will it take to receive my order?
Including processing your order and the careful production of our clothes, 
your order will arrive within two weeks.

Can I track my parcel?
When you complete a purchase, you will receive a confirmation e-mail. If you don’t receive an e-mail, please check your Junk/Spam folder or contact our customer service via e-mail We will also inform you via e-mail when your product is leaving our headquarter in Germany and provide you with a tracking number. Unfortunately Based on Love or DHL can’t guarantee any delivery time but we will surely do our best, so you receive your new favorite clothes as fast as possible.

Do I have to pay for shipping?
Germany: 0-99€ shipping is 5€, from 100€ up shipping is free
Europe: 0-199€ shipping is 15€, from 200€ up shipping is free
Outside Europe: Shipping is 40€

Do I have to pay taxes or fees?
According to § 19 UStG (German VAT Act) no product contains value added tax. If you are an international customer, additional taxes or fees may appear regarding shipping by completing your order. Based on Love is not responsible for any duties/taxes applied to your package. You will be responsible for paying additional charges for customs duty. It will vary from country to country, amount, weight and value. Please make sure to get the information before placing your order or contact your local office. Unfortunately customs duty often doesn’t inform the customer about holding your parcel. Please have in mind to track your parcel attentively and get in touch with your local office if there are occuring any problems. Of course, you can always contact us and we will do our best to help you with your order. By law, we must declare all products at their full price and can’t alter this amount to decrease international custom fees. We are sorry but Based on Love hasn’t any influence on these taxes and fees or may accelerate this process, so please contact your local customs office for further information.

Payment & Privacy

Which payment methods are accepted at Based on Love?
We offer payment via PayPal, Credit Card and sofort bank transfer (Klarna).

Am I allowed to pay later than completing my purchase?
No, unfortunately we don’t offer any kind of pay later methods.

What about my personal information I share on this website?
Any information you share with Based on Love is confidential and won’t be passed on to third parties. To protect our customers, we won’t ever save any credit card information. 

Order Cancellation & Return policy

Is it possible to change or cancel my order after completing it?
We are sorry but you can’t change or cancel your order once it’s placed. 
If it is really urgent, send us an e-mail

May I return my order?
We only accept returns if you have ordered the wrong size or the product is damaged or substandard. As all our products are strictly limited, please make sure beforehand if you are purchasing the right size. 
For returning an item, the product must be unworn and the hangtags must still be attached.
Please click on our return form, print it, fill it in and tell us which product has the wrong size and note your correct size.
Please insert this form in your parcel. You can then choose your preferred post service to send it back to our office with the following address:

How long may I return a product?
We accept products for return within 14 days after you received your order. 

Do I have to pay for returning an item?
The customer has to bear any costs the chosen post service charges for returning a parcel.

How long will the return process take?
As soon as we receive your product, we will do our best to exchange the product but you will receive your new size within one week if it is available.

Does my parcel has to be insured when returning it?
Not urgent but please make sure you can track your parcel as we aren’t responsible for the loss of a parcel.

What if my product is damaged?
We always want to make sure to deliver high quality products. We are sorry if you receive a damaged or substandard product. In this case you don’t have to fill in a return form or send it back on your own expense. Please contact our customer service via e-mail and show us the damage with a short explanation and photos so we can help as fast as possible.

What if I receive a wrong item?
We are sorry if we made a mistake by processing your order. Please contact us via e-mail and we will exchange your product as fast as possible.

What if one or more items are missing when I receive my order?
It may occur that we have to split orders due to production delays. If this is the case we will inform you as soon as possible. If all your products are listed in your shipping confirmation e-mail but you don’t receive all of them, please let us know via e-mail and we will send them to you as fast as we can.
